Meet Sally Peloquin
Sally is a trauma informed psychologist, having worked in assessment and counselling roles, with thousands of individuals and couples within both the public and private sectors.
Sally’s approach to therapy is informed by current thinking and research in psychology. Her guarantee is to offer an empathic approach to people from all walks of life, regardless of age, race, gender, or sexual preference. Her aim is to enable you to look at issues with a different perspective, harness your innate resilience, strengths, and resources, with a view to increased psychological flexibility.
Sally’s intention as a Registered Psychologist is to assist the transformation of Psychological Wounds into Self-awareness and Wisdom.
Her services are available through the 'Better Access' Medicare Health Care Plan; she is also Workcover accredited, and an approved counsellor for 'Victim Services NSW'
As an avid deep thinker (who loves engaging in reflection on life and existentialism in her spare time!), she weaves her own distinctly creative brand of insight into therapy to connect and relate to every person at their particular point of need. Sally incorporates various evidence-based treatments including EMDR therapy, Brainspotting, Schema Therapy, ACT, Mindfulness, CBT Anxiety management, and Emotionally Focused Individual therapy (EFIT), to ensure that clients obtain a carefully-tailored experience with the best possible outcomes. She is experienced at dealing with a range of mental health issues but has a particular interest in the treatment of PTSD, childhood trauma and abuse and long-standing chronic depression and/or anxiety.
Learn more about these methods here: trauma focussed therapies and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT).
Membership includes the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Associate Membership of the Australian Psychological Society.
